5-day Traditional Timber Framing Courses in Shropshire
Oak Heath provides traditional timber framing courses in Shropshire, teaching students traditional and modern timber frame design techniques, using hand and power tools to achieve stunning results.
Led by Adam Baker, a skilled craftsman with over 20 years experience of working with timber and woodwork skills, each course offers thorough lessons and practical experience in timber framing techniques, skills and using the best materials available.
Each course caters for up to 8 people allowing for it to be tailored to all abilities, with many courses featuring a mix of professional tradesman looking to enhance their skill set through to woodwork enthusiasts or simply someone looking at a specific timber project.
Whilst Oak Heath creates courses around popular constructions such as summer houses, studios or porches, the experienced team also provide tailored courses should you have a particular timber project in mind.
All the courses are held on-site at Oak Heath’s South Shropshire base in spacious fully equipped workshops where the course classroom and practical lessons are based.
Run over the duration of 5 days, many of the course attendees travel from far afield so we aim to provide all the on-site facilities that you may need to make your stay at Oak Heath as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The facilities provided to guests include a selection of accommodation options, the Oak Heath Pub, as well as refreshments and catering during the day (lunch is provided) by Rachel.
